Noctera for iOS. Fastest answer: shubham@verita-ai.com
How does the blocking work?
Two layers. A built-in blocklist stops known ad and tracker networks before they load. Then Apple's on-device AI examines suspicious elements on the page and hides the ones that are ads. A shield HUD shows while the scan runs and reports what was blocked; the shield in the address bar keeps a per-page count.
A page says "No ads found" but I still see ads
Tap the ••• menu → Zap ads on this page to force a fresh scan. The AI is deliberately conservative — when unsure, it leaves things alone. Blocking also improves with use: confirmed ads become rules that apply instantly on your next visit.
The AI hid something it shouldn't have
Tap the shield in the address bar (or ••• → AI hidden on this site) and flip off the rule — the element reappears immediately and stays excluded on that site.
A site doesn't work right
••• → Settings for this site → turn off AI blocking for that domain. The static blocklist keeps applying; the AI simply skips that site from the next load.
Why isn't AI blocking active on my device?
The AI layer uses Apple Intelligence, so it needs a supported iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled (Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri). On a new device the model can take a while to download — Noctera re-checks automatically on every page. Static blocking works everywhere, always. AI scanning also pauses in Low Power Mode.
How do I clear my data?
Settings → Privacy: Clear all data now wipes website data and history immediately; Clear data on exit does it automatically every time you leave the app. Private tabs never store anything.
Does anything I browse leave my phone?
No. Noctera has no server and no analytics — the app's privacy label is "Data Not Collected". See the privacy policy.
Requirements
- iPhone with iOS 26 or later
- Apple Intelligence for the AI layer (optional — static blocking works without it)
